Well the F/A-22A has reached IOC (Initial Operationg Capacity) and is said to be combat ready... any one want to take a guess on the first plane it's going to shoot down?

Well the Mig-31 is the FOXHOUND. Mig-30, after a Google and Wikipedia search, doesn't turn up anything substantial. Doesn't exist.

I swear I saw NATO designations for a Mig-30 and Mig-31 some where

If we end of with the NKs before those two it'll be the chinese Mig variants most likely the variant of the 29 maybe the 30

How about NO planes since it's being first deployed to Alaksa or something right? Haha. Have we even shot down enemy fighters since the first Gulf War? It seems we don't even let the enemy air force get off the ground at this point. Hell the last time I heard about fighters actually going down was back during the spy plane incident in 2001. And that's because a transport aircraft collided with a Chinese Mig. The F-22 looks bad ass though. It's one more step untill the futuristic super-planes arrive.
