i know how people are going to think of this and how weird they're going to think i am. but i'm just wondering why Benedict Arnold is pretty much the only well-known traitor in US history? there have obviously been others, but nobody knows their name like they know his.
any ideas?

his probably the most well known traitor because of his standing in the colonial army. by the time of his betrayal he was considered a war hero. the reason why you don't hear much about others is due to the fact that their insignificant. a movie called "Breach" released a while back and depicted a federal agent who had given so much information to the russians over the years that it was called the worst security breach in US history. the funny thing is that russia probably didnt realize his absence due to the fact that had many in country and possibly still do.
