I'm from the south(Mississippi) and yeah we have the confederate flag, but that's just our heratige, to us it doesn't represent slavery or anything like that.
I'm really sorry if it offends u but just get over it.

(and for ur info Ohio (in the north) has more KKK groups than any other state in the country)

There is a reason to wave the Confed Flag simply beacsue your reminding the rest of the US that you came and took the Confederate States of America from it's rightful owners who succeded legally from the union but now it's just a southern pride thing and nothing more.

the civil war was lame. i did not like the civil war, and especially the confederacy. It even pisses me off when i see people flying confederate flags around today... i think its kinda anti-americanish.

Anyway I'm semi in a Civil War Re-enactment unit (The Washington Artillery Battery) This is a confed (confederate or the south) unit and they do a very good job re-creating the civil war.

But the civil war had two vry good causs fom the union point of view they are:
1. Preserve The Union
2. Free The Slaves (this goal was introduced later in the war)

but the confeds had their reason to fight as well they were an independant nation and they fought really tp keep it that way.
