Talk about what you have done for the victims. Talk about how you feel about the disaster. Talk about anything related to the tsunami here. A place to support eachother.

Whoa. Razz I'm glad you want to help. But all CAPS, isn't the way to go about it.

And I do agree, we need to look to the causes of the tsunami, but we also have to help the people who lost everything Razz

(btw - I'm not very informed on this subject, how is everything going down there?)

i'm not. i'm just saying that many of you arenot serious. you're just talking. i'd rather say exactly what i mean than pretend to be something i'm not. thats just my take on issues, it wont change because you dont like it.

but hey!!! this is an open site for Noiz Makers. You make your noise, and i'll make mine, and if u dont like the noiz i'm makin, just ignore it or make some more of your own

either way, it doesnt matter and i dont care.

I want to say something about this.
quote:
1. start to practice abstinence
2. start to stop smoking and using drugs
3. start to love your parents
4. start to learn to pray even for little blessings in life
5. start to accept that you are pregnant and take care of your baby (this is for those who are about to abort their babies)
6. start to abstain from cussing
7. start to think about life and not just material things
8. start to do things that can be beneficial for yourself and to others.
9. start to stop dreaming of things we cannot do. Instead, look at the present. What CAN you do today?girlfromxanga

On some of these you can't say there bad or good unless you have tried them. I have done drugs and I know there bad cause of experiences. But I have sent thousnds of dollars to victams. My job pays well so anything I can do to get help out there (with money) I can do.

See now, I resent that talking up in the clouds and fairy tale goodness crap!!!

You will NEVER know how much a person has suffered until you suffer the same thing, and even then, it will NEVER be the same as what that person has experienced because we are all essentially different and we see the world through totally different perspectives. No two persons are alike.

I get the feeling that most of you give to others just to be able to say you did - to add to your little white book of good deeds that will surely get you into heaven or something - just so you can feel self righteous.

While I do agree that "goodwill" and "cheer" needs to be displayed, doing it with this sort of attitude is just as bad as not doing it at all, because the motive is what most of society considers to be wrong. (I don't necessarily see selfishness as a crime).

I get the attitude here that there is a strong disapproval of the people who aren't inclined to give of themselves and their time to charitable (if there's such a word) deeds as well. That, as far as I’m concerned, is proof that you all probably do these things just to boost your feelings of self worth, and to make yourself seem more righteous than others.

Think about it....

WHy do you do it? So you can write a forum about it and boast 'til your head is so light it could float away, and to bash anyone or anything that might not happen to be as "virtuous" as you are?

WE can do as much as we can. Those people that were out there when this happened they didn’t have the chance and time to get out and take anything. no matter how much we give or have done we all have made a differ in their life. even if is something that is going to take long for them to forget but they will get by because how much we all helped and should that we cared
