I think that it's cool that everyone is out there helping but long do you actually think that the support is going to last? Remember 9/11? The unity, patriotism, caringness, etc was there but it didn't last. The only time that we as humans get into that spirit is when something bad happens or even when the anniversary of an even such as 9/11.

some members at a local Methodist church came up with the idea of making and selling "I (heart) South Asia" t-shirts and then giving all the procedes to the victims. We sold a bunch of them at our school first, and then other high schools around us starting selling them at their school too. Then today I was in Stage Right, a Christian store in our mall, and I saw that they are selling them there too which I thought was pretty cool to got everybody involved.

When the tsunami first happened, I was shocked and I also felt helpless because I was a half a world away from those who had experienced this tragedy. I wrote a letter on a thread that was started. I know that that isn't much but it's better than nothing right?
