My fellow YNers:

I want to take a moment to let you know about one of the coolest, and often overlooked, features of YN, the Just-1-Click campaign. This has got to be one of the easiest things you are able to do to make a difference.

This month, the clicks are benefiting an organization called Building with Books. This organization raises money to build and stock schoolhouses in impoverished areas of the world. I know I personally take my education for granted; I can’t imagine what it must be like to never have the opportunity to take part in a formal education setting.

Of course, like anything in life, the J1C has rules. We need to accumulate 100,000 clicks over the course of a month for our organization to receive a check for $1,000. It used to be a group of 10 people or so would spend hours on end clicking and clicking…but now we have another challenge: each YNer is limited to 300 total clicks per month.

This is where we need YOUR help. We’re asking all YNers to follow this link, http://www.youthnoise.com/page.php?page_id=2335 and click 300 times.

This is our June campaign, and while the month seems to be dwindling away, our number of clicks is still very low. 300 clicks may seem like a lot, but if you’ve got fast fingers and play some favorite music, we’ve found that it’s simple to knock out 300 clicks in less than 5 minutes.

While you’re at it…pass this information on to all the YNers you know, or your goodhearted friends who wouldn’t mind creating a free account in order to help us to achieve our goal.

Please everyone, you are our last hope to get some well-needed money to this more than deserving organization.

And Amp? 279 people need to max out their accounts, and another person just needs to click.

so if over the next... what? 10 days? we all create... a dozen accounts apiece we may be able to pull this out. I'm a huge fan of Building with Books and a strong beliver in education please folks don't let this J1C die!

I'm afraid alternative accounts are just not going to do it. You still only get 300 per account. That's about 1/3 of 1 percent.
