Hey guys! I am Victoria and my friend Sarah and I are starting a Lyme Disease walk. We're looking for sorts of information and support in any way shape or form. If any of you have done any sort of walk before or how to get better funding. We're really open to anything at this point. Right now we're trying to come up with a catchy symbol to use and slogan.. Any ideas?

Can I just ask, why Lyme Disease?
(Either from the original poster, or someone who sympathizes...I'm just wondering if there is something about this particular disease that I am overlooking.)

Hey, if you're looking to start a walk for Lyme Disease, I think you're looking for the right person! I'm a Lyme guy. I'm Doug DeNunzio who lives in Greenwich, CT and who had Lyme Disease for 11 years. I still have it now, so Oh, great, a couple more years before I get rid of it. You have a great idea. First, you should call around to people in your neighborhood, see if they have had Lyme Disease and they could help set up a walk. Another idea would be if you have a great town community, you could communicate with Town Hall to bring some awareness to the issue. Ask to send out brochures, booklets, things like that. And if you could find a way for funding (maybe set up a fund raiser in your neighborhood or something) and get everybody to chip in some money for the cause, that would be perfect. Do anything that could help. So just an idea. Take it if you want and if you're interested, definitely post me a reply back and you can email me at doug.denunzio@gmail.com if you have anymore questions.
Thanks, Doug
