Just think of all those amzing people out in Iraq, fighting day after day for US. The people of the united states. Is this right? Are we doing the right thing byt sending more and more troops out there?WOuld you risk everything to go out their and fight for this country? how far are you willing to go?

That's exactly what we were talking about in social studies..I honestly respect and admire the soldiers but I think their attempts and actions are worthless..war will never resolve anything. But add hostility and hate. But I am considering becoming a marine when I get older.I love my family and I'm willing to put my life on the line for them. Even if its for the most idiotic reason. As long as I know they are okay. =)

I find no reason for war. Killing is futile and will not solve our countries problems. Yes I am very happy and thankful that we have freedome but i dont think that killing someone is showing my thankfulness. I do respect the brave soilders in Iraq for being 'just another soilder' fighting for freedome but I am not willing to do that.

Would I fight for my nation if I had the choice? You know, normally I would have said yes. I would normally have said that I will certainly fight for my people and their homeland. But my nation no longer exists, and my government demands that my homeland belongs to everyone, not just my people. So #@@# no. I don't care what happens to my homeland anymore, its buttered its rag and it can sleep in it. No im not US-ie.

This country? I'm guessing you mean the United States. Why the hell would I fight for the U.S.? I'm Canadian. If someone wants to come and walk over Canada, and attack it's freedoms, then I'll gladly pick up my gun, and step to the front lines. I like my country. Sure, I hate nationalism, but I'm not going to let my home be taken over. Other then a major crime against humanity (Read Genocide, etc.), or a local conflict in which the country asks for help, I don't see why I would step up to fight for Canadian freedoms on the soil of another country, unless that other country attacked my country. I don't care if you saber-rattle all you want. Say you don't like my country. Go ahead. Say it. I don't care. You can not like it all you want. Just keep it to that. Not liking it. Leave me alone, I'll leave you alone.

And of course, risk again stereotypes ALL Americans by the voices of the few. And you say Americans are ignorant. Ignorance is a human weakness, not just an American one.

I live in Jordan. Americans aren't the only ones with internet - or freedom. The reasons that the US is in Iraq have been changed a million times and they are all political. You can register for the army because you want to fight the Russians or the terrorists, but then the government can decide to ship you off to wherever they want and force you to kill whoever they want, and then you no longer have free will and you're no longer fighting for something you believe in. You're fighting to help politicians who will be gone in a few years gain some more unneeded power. If war was really about what was right and wrong, then I would have no qualms about supporting the soldiers or even joining them; the way things are now, I don't.

It's a shame you don't care enough about your fellow Americans who have and are risking their lives so you can make such a selfish statement. You take your freedom for granted. If you lived in Iraq or Iran you would have absolutely no freedoms like you have here. Certainly never the right to say what you just said without losing your head to a sword for being a traitor to your country. Good thing you live in America.

War will only create more problems than before. However, most people believe that war will end everything.
IF NOT YOU, WHO? IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

War is a sad thing isn't it! But Somtimes it is the only way to deal with people...there will never be such a thing as "world peace" it just can't happen! there are to many trouble makers in this world to have world peace! we don't want another hitler...we aren't fighting a war against terror! Terror is a weapon! in WW2 we didn't say the war on machine guns...So why now do we say "war on terror" when really we are fighting those Radical musilums who think that any one out of thier religion should be killed...please comment and tell me what you think!

Personally I wouldn't physically fight for anything. Not that I don't have strong views, but because there is no justification for war.

I have... no allegiance to this country, save what the documents say, and I don't take much stock in official type.
