This story truly touched my heart.

If you have stopped believing in the magic of Christmas, this should bring it back...

wow.
i started crying at the end,
"I pray for that man every single day," former Kansas City Chiefs star Deron Cherry - one of Stewart's elves - says. "There's a lot of people praying for him."

its truly amazing to know that there's still people who have a caring heart.

What he's doing is great, but remember that you don't have to give out $100 bills to help the community. Little things such as volunteering or even giving a simple smile to someone can brighten up anyones day.

The Salvation Army bell ringers are out again...

Even though some of them (like the one who was at the grocery store earlier today) are terribly mean, they are still out there for a really good cause.

I usually give them all the change from the bottom of my purse...it's going to help people, but really it's not a terrible financial setback.

I've officially given up faith in humanity.

I don't even have any spare time. College kinda drains your free time... Oh well. I help out in little ways every day.

instead of handing out a 100 bucks you might not even have for yourself take what you can give and donate it to a soup kitchen or the like or volunteer your time at that soup kitchen or another volunteer orginization in your area for the holidays. Our time and our talent are the greatest gifts we have and using those gifts to help others is a gift beyond comparison.

Well, I do stuff like that all the time. I guess it just doesn't feel the same as giving random people $100 bills. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to being helpful that it doesn't seem that special...

There are lots of ways to help people without spending large amounts of money. Get fast food coupons and give them to homeless people. Open the door for someone when they're carrying something. Pay for your friends meal one day for no reason other than to do it. Offer to help when you can. CLEAN THE HOUSE for your mom or roommates. Little things like that even if you don't get credit or thanks for it are helping people out.

I always feel bad when I can't help out like that. It's just not in my nature to be completely selfless. But I do help out when I have the chance.

guys remember the parable of the poor widow at the temple her 2 small coins given from her poverty were worth more than all the money that the rich men put in the temple coffers

That story was truly touching. And I agree with Kate, about him being completely selfless.

I would do something like that, but I don't have that kind of money.

I hope that guy doesn't die.

If I ever gain enough money to do something like that, then I will.
