I can't post here because everything I say is quoted by someone who has a problem with it. It gets really old.

we're not picking on each other. we're just discussing. like halosonearth and i have a big "argument" going on an abortion board (which we will leave on that board, just so things don't get messy). we're quoting each other all over the place. but i'm not picking on her, and i'm pretty sure she's not picking on me. we're bringing up select points from each other's arguments, and directly talking about those. it makes it easier than writing down all sorts of points, and trying to figure out what people are responding to.

we've had a lot of new members lately, which i think is great. but people should be warned: we take stuff serious here. it's fun and games, yes, but also serious discussion. when we disagree with you, it's not because we think you're a bad person, we're just trying to find out what your convictions are. anyways, we'll tell you if we think you're a bad person.

Battleangel, gemini is right. It doesn't mean they are picking on you but I find it more of thing that they are saying they're interested in what you have to say and want to talk about it with you. This whole forum is a more mature way to discuss things and on here I don't think anybody, please correct me if I'm wrong, really is picking on anyone (the true debators). We're just all trying to find out what's right and what fits concerning all the people in the world and not just people like this.

Quoting is just so you know that they're interested in what you said and it sparked something, plus it also helps others so they don't have to read 400 posts

Quoting and replying is simply a direct response concerning whatever you were debating about.

That's the fun part: debating. What are we supposed to do?

we all get quoted and told we're wrong. but it doesn't get old. then you quote back and tell them that they're wrong. it's a never ending cycle. we're here to debate and discuss. if you don't want to, go somewhere else. just please, don't rain on our parade.
