Um, thanks...I guess

Making fun of newbies in an online tradition dating back to...well...at least 1997. Just try your best to adhere to these horribly confusing rules, and don't give us any ammo to make fun of you with. Try to be charismatic and funny in your writing without being annoying, and if you see any glaring spelling or grammar errors in a post you just finished, for the love of God, edit it. If you do these things, we will eventually come to accept you.

On the other hand, though, maybe you should screw up just a little. Otherwise, we have absolutely nothing on you, and it aggravates us. Like Druid and northstar, for instance. Both are fairly new, and both are nearly impossible to heckle. As a result, I'm left to lamely call them stupidheads.

Some of you may, others may not. Either way you have to earn the respect from the YN veterans.

By the way, it's not "oldbies".

Shut the **** up, newbie.

It's a time thing partly. Newbies can't just come in and command respect and be listened too. They have to prove through intelegent posts that you are worthy of being taken seriously.

It's not like if a newbie makes an intelegent comment people won't listen. It's just newbies aren't well known and typically aren't great at debating while adjusting to YN.
