i've just spent at least 30 mins (possibly more) coming up with this plan, so please take the time to at least consider it. My aim was to eliminate catergories with only a few threads by lumping several related topics together, thereby making the boards more efficient and easier to navigate.
under my plan, the main page of the noiseboards would look like this:
Global community -International relations -war and terrorism -current events (lump of "in the news", "environment", and "big bussiness"
Society -Your say in Gov't -Ending the isms -Pop culture & the media
Youth Issues -In you face and in your school (formerly school and education) -health and sexuality(lump of health, sexuality, & substance abuse, and global health) -spirituality -helping kids (formerly child exploitation)
Etc. (formerly other stuff. etc. sounds cooler. lol.) -Randomosity -Boredom busters (Lump of amazing facts and games, polls & quizzes) -Take action (lump calls to action, groups 2 get involved w/, get organized) -YouthNoise feedback
Those of you that have taken the time to read this far, i thank you. here are some funny one liners as a reward Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have. When everything's going your way, you're in the wrong lane. Wear Short Sleeves: Support your right to bare arms... Our bombs are smarter than the average high school student. At least they can find Kuwait.
The following subtopics would be eliminated- share your story (the posts in here are everything from weed to IM to paintbucket's "its storytime, so pay attention dammit!"), Peer to peer counsel, Literature and philosiphy, and the larger topic grouping "take action".
Thoughts?

No, there are too many.
What if what you think is great, really is great, but it's not as great as something greater?
Thanks for the suggestions! We don't mind getting feedback at all... we encourage it! In fact, the new forums were created based on NMer requests. It just so happened that the Infopop upgrade coincided with our plans to change the furniture around. I know the new boards will take some getting used to (I am also still trying to get adjusted) but hopefully we will all soon be navigating with no troubles.
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.
