Why is the time frame for editing this short ? I suppose its at least semi-sane to put a limit on editing times, but a 10 or 15 minute interval would not seem problematic on this board as posts are not often spaced closer than that, precluding creative 'revision'. In any case, it is most annoying to see a spelling or grammatical error 6 minutes after a post, and I would like that situation rectified provided there isn't some bizzare reason behind the small window of time.

I agree. I think the reason is because if you post somthing and you get 10 min. to edit it, it's easier for someone to change your answer.

Hey, great question. I'm not sure why the edit feature is set to only 5 minutes, but I have forwarded this thread to the team for discussion.
