Introduce an "ignore user" function so that, when logged in, certain user's posts won't appear to us.
Oh god, it would be bliss. Poncho's heaven is a scorched plane of a forum, populated only by Poncho himself. Poncho third person likes to talk in.

quote: By doing that, you'd be "disrespecting" opinions
Actually, being able to ignore topics posted by certain users would not be any less respectful than choosing to ignore them the way we do now. It would just save space on our screens. While I think ignoring everything a person says is extreme, I think we should have the option not to have to sort through 15 topics on one page of randomosity like this: "Coalition, let's choose a leeder" "Andrewcon Application" "So-and-so's application" "Ban Poncho and JoeyDauben!" "Andrewcon's mandatory appeal that he doesn't want" If a user or, in this case, group of users is notorious for polluting boards with multiple threads and, as is often the case now, boards exclusively for only a few YN members, the rest of us should have the option to not have to see them. An ignore button would simply help us sort through threads more efficiently.

Please, YN, do not give into Poncho's requests when he so blatently violates the Rules of Play.

By doing that, you'd be "disrespecting" opinions...and people would go spastic...but then again...you wouldn't be able to tell if they were upset

It would be kind of weird, because you'd see everybody's replies to those posts, but you wouldn't know what they were talking about. Unless you're talking about just ingoring new threads posted by certain users. That would be a good idea.

I don't think it'd be any MORE of a problem than it already is.

Right. I was thinking the same thing Doc. It would create mass chaos.

Then again it may not be cool if we have a bunch of repeat posts and ideas because several people can't see eachothers points.
Might be a problem.

That's a cool idea...we'll check to see if we have the functionality available to do this with the upgrade coming soon.
