I talked to Lisa and she didn't mind us talking about making it, she just didn't want anyone to gloat and make others feel bad. So please let's not make it a bigger deal than what it is. There will be an announcement soon about this anyways. It had to have been a really hard decision to make and I'm sure there were so many worthy candidates. I would have hated trying to pick but it had to be done and it had to have beed difficult.

how about guess who the mods are, it might pass the time.

The YN staff will be making an announcement very soon. I'm not sure what day exactly but am sure it will be this week.

Also, like Ohio said, "it's not a big deal", the email only asked that conversations be kept to a minimum and did not mean that conversations should stop all together.

Really guys, it's not a big deal. I'm sure that in time everyone will know who made mod. But it's not for us to discuss. Let the YN staff handle that. So can we please put this to rest until the staff feels the need to let everyone know?

Wait, what? We're not supposed to talk about who became mods? Is it because some people's feelings may've been hurt? I agree with yogore. Give them a little more credit. I'm really sorry. I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to say anything about the new mods.

I'm just saying, everyone is making a much bigger deal than neccessary, Benje. Why does everyone think not being made a mod would make someone so very upset and offended by this thread? Let's give those people some credit. I'm sure they hold no grudges and aren't made to feel bad by knowing someone else is a mod.

While I do think I should have held back my impulse, I was mostly apologizing to the Staff and for the sake of Hydrok who rudely NOISEmailed me on the subject.

If you were given a spot as a mod, good for you. if not, don't worry, it's nothing personal and I'm sure there will be other chances to apply. Everyone is making a much bigger deal about htis than need be. Everyone is going to find out who made mod soon enough and I doubt the people who didn't are going to be pissed if people talk about it. People are going to eventually, the key is to be tactful about it. I know the Staff said not to, but Blue didn't know I'm guessing, so it's no reason for people to throw out apologies and act like a huge scandal has occured.

I guess it was slightly childish of me the answer bluedemocrat's post. I should've left it alone. Sometimes I'm impulsive and I don't always bother to restrain myself. I wasn't aware that it was going to be a big deal. Again, I apologize and am sorry to the YN Staff for not doing as asked and I am also sorry to anyone that I hurt, offended, etc. in the process.

Out of respect to all, can we not talk about this subject at all? This is my first note on this board about the Mod choice and I hope that there aren't any more notes like this. I would appreate it if you didn't talk about my situation or anyone elses regarding the mods. I am sorry that it came to this and to those that the recent posts might have hurt. If you have anything to say to me, please NoiseMail me. I will be sure to write you back in a timely fashion.
