I am with you. Cussing shows a lack of intelligence. What's the point in it? To be rebellious? It's not worth it. I go to a redneck school, and that is basically all I hear everyday. It gets so annoying.

All "obscenities" have a synonym that is, for some reason, not considered a bad word. It makes no sense to be offended by the word s.h.i.t if you are not offended by the word feces. I've actually always thought the concept of certain words being unacceptable was a ridiculous idea. Not all obscenities, but the more often used obscenities that have synonyms with absolutely no offensive meaning. I understand being offended by words that have been traditionally used as insults and therefore have a bad connotation, but other words that are considered inappropriate do not always fall under that category in meaning and origin.

By adopting the English language, you agree that the words we say have a specific meaning. How people choose to use/abuse such words cannot be helped. Society expects you to be a reflection of yourself, and not everyone else to follow you.

I totally agree with you. I think that the way people replied to your message was somewhat immature, in a way I guess. It proves that people have drifted away from expressing themselves civilly and logically and have come into a generation where the best way to explain ourselves is through cussing. We all need to learn respect also. If someone asks you not to cuss or talk about certain things around them, it should not be so hard a thing to deal with... containing your language just while you are around that person should not be a big deal. Please tink about how people who do not like cussing feel, please we will respect you more. One more thing, personally, I think cussing is a turn off, for both girls and boys. Don;t try to impress me by cussing, impress me by showing me that you respect my morals and the morals of others. Thank you modestgrl4u.

cussing is just another part of language. I have what many would consider a bad mouth because of all the profanity i use. I find it said that when someone swears people like gasp as if they just did something terribly wrong.
