I would like youthNOISE's official comments on this issue. Is there an age limit on youthNOISE? Is 20 TOO OLD?

Hey, don't attack me, I just thought it would be a good point. But marine16, what was your point? We can still talk about it. Stop trying to silence us. We are not your slaves.

The Honorable Vice President, Honorable Chief Financial Officer, and Honorable Founding Father of the Honorable Coalition Announces the Following...
The youthNOISE staff has spoken, this is a moot point.

Andrewcon, I'm alone. I'm seventeen. There's no one within hearing distance. Come kill me. I have a little secret for you. It's something I picked off from the streets. (leans closer to whisper it in your ear) THE WORLD IS DANGEROUS! It's just something we have to deal with. It is the risk of living with humans. You can get killed. You can get raped. You can get seriously hurt. It is the risk we all take. And if you don't like it, I have my old YN rope here. I offered it to a bunch of orlando bloom fans, but they didn't take. Do you know what to do with it?

quote: Good point, but the thing with the Coalition is that most of them (you're the only one I've seen so far who isn't like this, Jookly) claim to be against bigotry, yet are openly discriminatory. It makes no sense, and I think that's why most of us hate it.
true. anyways, regarding adults being here... as long as you dont give them personal info, whats the prob??

Exactly. So the Coalition should stop posting that stupid signature in every single post. quote: they didnt print it on just one because then no one would pay any attention.

Yes, I know that. But not only can they not take care of everything, this is a site that provides many children with the opportunity to talk with other children. If an adult wants to talk to a kid privately, they can do that through NOISEmail. The kid gives the adult their regular email, whether knowing its an adult or not, and BAM, YouthNOISE has just become a dangerous place. One thing that they could do to prevent that behavior, though, is to make sure no older members and younger members (around 18 or so) cannot privately speak with each other through NOISEmail. I'm not saying this because I want people to be scared, I want people to know what is possible. I apologize if I "freaked" anyone out.

quote: Wavemaster, why don't you go in chatrooms or something if you want to talk with adults?
It has already been said - some of the "adults" that come and post on youthnoise make great contributions to the site. If the YN staff had any inclination that one of them was a danger to the other Noisemakers, they would take care of it.

Wavemaster, why don't you go in chatrooms or something if you want to talk with adults? Or post on regular message boards? The thing is, we have to admit to it; kids talking with adults on the internet has a certain level of danger to it.
As for the republican, I didn't put anything in your mouth. And, yes, you are being pessimistic. I know what I did - I didn't deny anything. Besides, I stated the coalition because you asked me what my "problem" was. That IS my problem. Basically, YOU brought it into the board just by being here, but you furthered it by asking what I had a "problem" with.

There should be a limit at 30, for at 29 you loose all your youth.... yeah. But people could always lie anyway. Who cares? Talking with adults helps prepares you for the world, does it not? And argueing with them helps you even more. Good comebacks.

Every dollar bill says "In God we trust", they didnt print it on just one because then no one would pay any attention. It is similar with the coalition mission statement. IMO

quote: but that doesnt mean it should be brought in to every topic especially when it has nothing to do about it. this is double standard right there. if we say things about the coalition, its bad and we get yelled at. but when someone else says somthing against or about the coalition, its considered ok or maybe even good. is Arianhorn your name? its pretty.
let me be nice for once... ok. i dont think people have a problem with coalitions of any sort, i think their annoyed at yours because frankly, you rub it in and your fellow coalition members are sometimes mean. so people eventually get tired of it, and they burst and start talking crap about it. it's a chain. about my name... its a funny story. my mom hated arianhorn for a name, but my dad loved it. so, my dad made her agree on naming me arianhorn (but i'm called arian because arianhorn is pretty long). my grandfather hated that name (even though its in my birth certificate), he wanted me to be named Estefanía (because of his mom), which is Stephanie in Spanish. So my mom (and I am convinced she did this to annoy my dad) started calling me Stephanie. I told her to stop when I was like, 10, because I like my name. But she kept calling me Stephanie, until when i was 12, i was in school and she said "Bye, Stephanie" and i yelled "It's Arianhorn!!!!!" (i didint know why she called me stephanie, until now, especially in school, since all the teachers/students called me by my name). So she stopped calling me stephanie, and adopted Arian (because Arianhorn sounds really awful in spanish). I still respond to her occasional calling me stephanie though. but i'm so glad my name issue stopped, i now sign every board. my mom understands that my dad's reasons for giving me that name (which i cant state becasue theyre a lot). yes, my family is strange (but what do you expect from a puerto rican mom and a scottish dad?) -Arianhorn
