A chat room? I see this site has gone to the dogs. A bunch of immature short-sighted kids in a room together? That's absurd. If people grow up a little, it would be a great idea. But given the preschool maturity level of the people on this site, it's a terrible idea. I laugh at the proposterous proposals of you feeble minded fools.

We recently had a chat that was simulcast on AOL Live and with www. Teenpeople.com on the issue of youth violence that featured Columbine survivor, Matt Varney and R&B pop-group sensation 3LW, on the eve of the 3 year anniversary of the Columbine shootings (4/19/01).

Thanks to NOISEmakers, the event was a great success and we plan to have similar chat opportunities in the future.

i would definitely be up for a chat room! brilliant idea!

Instead of having to wait for a post to load and waiting for everyone else to read it, ideas could be read in a matter of seconds by other people on the site. Also, arguments could be kept to the chat room and not be permanently embedded in YouthNoise topics (many examples of this... :S)

just wanted to bump this up and reiterate that this is a VERY good idea. i think that this subject needs more attention.

That would be a really cool idea to have a chat room! Im not a big fan of using chat rooms because u can get some really weird people on them but after reading posts on the nosieboards i think the people who are members of youthnoise are nice people and would be nice to chat to!

i think that a chatroom would be SUPER! when people post things they want to hear a response right away instead of waiting for what other people think a week or a month from when they post it. well at least i do. but then again, a post can be up for a month and people can still respond if they haven't been online in a long time, but i do believe that a chat room would be good. i tihnk that between the two, more would be accomplished.

hey. i think having a chatroom in youthnoise wuld make this site even betta. i mean i like it and all but sumtimes it bores me. i hope they have youthnoise chatroom so i culd hab more frendz in here! peace out!

I'd like to see a chat room, and if we don't like someone, you could put in an option not to display comments from that person if they get out of hand. That of course would be user specific.
