I'm sorry, I sent a link to this thread and I haven't heard back yet. The site is undergoing some major backend changes and maybe this is why problems are happening. I'll check again.

It's still doing it. Always on my profile or noisemail. And I use MSN. But it's only doing it on YN and only on those two pages. It's not my computer.

I don't think it is viruses but I'm suspecting there's an issue with MIE as with Firefox I had no problems. I'll send the tech team a link to this thread and see if they can do some troubleshooting.

You know what, my brother wouldn't let me access YN from his computer. He said "that website gives you viruses!" I don't believe it, but every time I would log on from his computer, he would get very upset. I have my own computer now, so that is no longer an issue. He still comes in to my room and shakes his head if he sees me logged in. :P

I scanned the computer, and had a couple viruses to speak of, and it seems to be working for the minute. Here's hoping? But I still wonder why yn and not the other sites.

Edit: I lied. It's still quitting on me. It seems to shut down when I try to access my profile or send someone mail.

I wanted to deliver a message from Shade:

"I can't access youthnoise for a while. It keeps shutting down my internet about a minute I access the page. It works with every other website I've tried. Could you maybe mention this in the suggestions forum for me, to see if they can do anything? As it is, I'll try to fix the problem on this side."

Do you guys know why this is happening and is there any way you can fix it? I don't know much about computers, but the site has been having some problems lately. Thank you in advance.

Earlier when I was posting on YN the site gave me a page that said "Internal Server Error." Then it didn't load for a bit. After that it went back to normal. Well, I don't know much about computers but I'm posting this because I found it a bit odd.

I noticed that too. And you're only supposed to take it once, so shouldn't it have a list of IPs to not offer it to? Is that even possible to do?

Wow...it did work. I tried it myself. Good thing I had already taken the survey. I'm thinking that if the only way to make it stop is by refusing to take the survey is not very good news for YN...

Oh, I agree. I took the survey myself and that thing keeps trying to pop up. My FireFox blocks it, but it keeps showing me that it has blocked a pop-window. It kind of gets annoying after a while.

I have a comment/problem with the site at the moment. The YN survey keeps trying to open up in a pop up window. It repeats this every time I navigate to a different part of the site. It continues to do this even after I took the survey.

Is there any way to get this to stop popping up?

Yeah Shade. If you scroll down on this thread, I mentioned it before. And I agree that it is annoying. I keep clicking it accidentally and then I have go back.

I'd like to mention something very annoying to yn. Above the links to the boards ( Home, Noiseboards, other stuff...etc. ) there's the huge for youth by youth join now thing. But it's a broken link. I keep accidentally clicking it because it's so big, and it leads nowhere. Maybe if it went somewhere it wouldn't be so annoying. I don't know if anyone is aware of this.
