Well I am happy to report that my Dr went ahead and put the fracture boot on so I'm now able to scratch to my heart's content.

Heh. I used a knitting needle to itch under my cast for both times I had to have casts.

I googled for how to remove the itch under the cast, but I only got that you shouldn't insert anything under the cast, for it can cause serious problems in your skin.

I broke my wrist once and had a full arm cast up to my shoulder and I never figured out how to get at those itches! Sorry!
