I went to fix a post because I made a typo in the [ quote] so it didn't work right and it said I didn't have permission to edit and it had only been 5 minutes. And it never lets me delete any of my posts even when the 7 minute editing window is still open. I always get the you do not have permission page. I just thought I would alert you incase you didn't know. i find it frustrating. I still can't delete my posts. It's really been bugging me because soetimes i decide I sounded dumb and don't want it there anymore. Edit: i tried to delete right after I posted it and it gave me this: quote: You have not been given the permission(s) to access this page. You require the following rights to view this page: 'Edit/Delete Own Posts'. For a full list of permissions you have on this community, please visit your MySpace Permissions page.
SoI went to my myspaces page and check the permissions and it said I should be able to delete my own posts. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

Yes, I've had this issue as well. Just a few minutes ago I posted something, then decided it was probably a bit too mean for a newb, and I couldn't delete it. I just had to type something in their in apology of an empty post. How did yogore fix this? Thanks, Lissa.

Hydrok, Great advice. northstar...Viruses are very nasty creatures that can invade your computer without your knowledge if you aren't properly protected. Not only is having virus software helpful but having a good firewall will protect you also. I can't stand firewalls personally, because they do cause other issues to occur but I need the protection so I grudgingly keep it on. northstar, can you also send me a NOISEmail and explain the steps you took when this occured? I want to check with Andrei, YN web developer, to see if he has any other suggestions/solutions. Thanks

YNLissa, the words "love" "romance" and "music" have been made to links leading to...less than credible sights. Is this just my computer or the system?

yogore, I was able to edit within the 10 minute grace period under a NN with no mod controls. Try a test post on this thread and let me know if you still are having problems editing w/i the 10 minute grace period. If you still have problems I will submit a ticket as Ginger mentioned to find out why this could be happening. I've seen where some posters have mentioned that they had deleted thier posts but I've never been able to do this under a NN that did not have mod controls. You (or anyone) can always send me a note if you'd like one of your own posts taken down.
