I was looking at the Supporting Troops thread and the descriptions says: "Send messages of hope to kids whose parents who are stationed in Iraq." This bothered me because there is no space to make other threads in support of the troops. I support the kids that have parents in the war. My baby niece is one of them. But it bothers me that there is no room for other relatives, stories of trial and support, for messages to the troops, or for anything else involving supporting the troops. And what about honoring those that have passed? There is no room in the description for that either. Another thing that bothered me is that the board will not allow you to make another thread. Why is this so? I wanted to ask YN, with all due respect, if they could expand the description of the Support Troops board as well as allow for us to be able to make new threads, just like any other board. This is very important to me. And I'd appreciate it if you took my request in to consideration. Thank you.

Hm, I hadn't thought of it that way, Meg. I'm in contact with my brothers platoon that is in Iraq. If it wasn't possible for YN to do it, perhaps I could look in to it that way, somehow.

I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to find a contact to send them to. My cousin is in Iraq, so even if we just wanted to send it to him (or whomever), I'm sure they could circulate the messages.

Thank you. Let me know as soon as you find out. I was planning on starting a thread like that but I didn't know whether the messages could be delivered to them somehow.

In the past we've sent messages so I'm assuming that still might be the case but I will have to check to be sure.

I was wondering something. If I was to start a thread about messages for support to the troops(whether one is against or for war does not matter) would there be any way to get that to them in some way?

You're welcome...I guess I should have posted when I updated it. PS If you have any problems adding topics let me know. I was able to add one (and deleted it) but I want to be sure.

I fifth it. Especially since you did nothing for Memorial Day. I know it's an American holiday, but this seems to be a primarily American site. It's not like it would have been hard...

And I fourth it, for reasons of both content and layout. If we have a whole section devoted to Supporting Troops, let's make into an actual whole section devoted to Supporting Troops, rather than just a thread. Like YV said, it's a broad subject, and I'm sure more people than we realize have stories to share.
