Any word yet on the whole picture thing? Are we actually allowed to put pictures of ourselves up?

Three cheers for the new brown color on the boards! It is so much better than pea green (although still so far from orange...)!

The banner is in the way to start off with, however, if you simply scroll down the page that problem is solved... plus it's a fairly simple pref fix to bing the quick reply to the front (similar to powerpoint graphics)

There is a link to the baord at the top of every page. Double click on the "boards" in the top list of "about" "channels" "showcase" etc. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

I hope not... And I think the amount of blank space depends on screen resolution. quote: Oh, and has anyone noticed when you reply and you're at the top of the screen, the banner interferes with it?
The banner doesn't interefere on my computer. I replied without any conflicts in either the actual or quick reply. quote: But really, a lot of stuff on the new site is too complicated for me.
I disagree. I find the new site much easier to navigate. What specifically is too complicated? I think the site seems more sophisticated now. quote: Anyone else notice that the pea green is only on the boards?
I don't like the color on the boards. It's not lively enough. However, i do like the varying colors throughout the site. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

How do we edit our posts?! We can't, as far I know. My profile doesn't mention past Boards I have started. Don't like that part. And that we can't delete blogs.

I like the homepage (even though I would have liked a link to the boards) but everything else is a little too complicated... And I like the new profile options.. But really, a lot of stuff on the new site is too complicated for me. Probably is for others (especially younger youth) if I'm speaking up.

very true...I was just wondering why the turn-around? Anyone else notice that the pea green is only on the boards?

Yeah, Firefox works better. Meagan, there is a reason for that, I think. Anyone who is not logged in to YN can see your avatar, but only members can see your profile.

Try Firefox for OSX. Been using it on this site pretty much since day one. It's safer than IE, especially if you disable Java and web installs.

Ok, now I can't even post using my preferred browser. I'm having trouble using Safari on my mac laptop. The pages don't load completely, and when I try and post the browswer just locks up. I'm trying Internet Explorer now, but on the mac is SUCKS and there's no way I'm using it as my basic browser. I'm running OSX 10.2 fyi. And the latest version of Safari for that OS.

I don't get the picture thing...we can't have pictures of ourselves as our avatars, but we can in our profiles?

Well one of the nagging things about the old version was that you had to scroll left and right as well as top to bottom.. also I have a feeling that the blank space on the right is going to get turned into an ad column Note to all though: The new site may take some getting used to, but most of the navigation features are still the same, just moved around a bit. I ask that you all have some patience, all of your concerns are being sent up to the team and they want to hear suggestions and the like. Please try to remain respectful and patient with YN while they finish the last few tweaks on getting the system to run like before. Then we can worry about the new features. Again ideas, suggestions, gripes, concerns are all welcome, please remember to be respectful, it gets things done so much faster that way.

I do like that they have a store, now. They did take a lot of our suggestions (ex. "I would definitely buy one of those sweatshirts if they sold them") and put them on the new site. I also like how we can put pictures on. I really miss the orange. I liked how you could go directly to the forum you wanted to right from the homepage. Now you have to go to the boards main page and go from there. It used to be much easier. But I'll get used to it...I guess. On a side note, can anyone see my picture? Or is it still the old man?
