Helllooo NoiseMakers:

I (and a few of my coworkers... heheh) have been working hard to bring you a new (or at least improved) election page... pretty much since December. And, at last, it is almost entirely complete. Please go check it out here:

http://www.youthnoise.com/election08

So, what do you think? Any things you like/don't like? I have sucked up my fears of putting this out here for public scrutiny, but please be nice.

A few notes:
- I am not a miracleworker, sorry.
- We have basically no budget to do this, woo!
- Stuff is changing all the time- the theme and content change weekly.
- The background (gray color) can't change.

You are probably asking, Kate, how can I make your job easier? The answer: make some noise! Please! The boards have been slim pickings recently, but hopefully with the elections coming up there will be more to feature. Future themes include:

human rights
economy
war
foreign relations
environment (current)
mmm... and other stuff you can probably figure out

So, wrap up:

1. Let me know what you think of the election page: www.youthnoise.com/election08
2. Make me some fecking content so I can feature it!

Thanks team.

Update: The next two weeks are going to be focusing on the Democratic and Republican Conventions, so somebody write something about those!

Cool, thanks for the feedback everyone. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

That's a cool website, benje, thanks for pointing it out.

which is owned/operated by a junior at Harvard...and maybe you want to partner up with them? just an idea...

The chart of the issues between McCain and Obama is helpful, but I think the education part needs to be adjusted. Barack Obama is not against "Education," instead he wants NCLB to be reformed...if you are someone who is looking for info for the 1st time, he/she might think from reading that chart that Obama is against education.

I enjoy the new dynamic duo who has begun blogging about the election...

Self praise aside...

I like that it's clean and easy to navigate. I'm kind of over the whole environmental thing (at my work, our product to push is a canvas tote bag "would you like to go green today and purchase a tote to put your purchase in?"), but I think it's great that it'll be changed up regularly.

There really isn't a whole lot I would change...and that statement coming from Meagan is tantamount to high praise. :]

...well, where are yn's advertisements? I haven't seen any anywhere like I used to. If there were better ads there would be more people.

I kind of like the page. Well done. I especially like the small bit of information on their beliefs.
