Hi

There's so many coaltion members voting to ban certain members for idiotic reasons. And they say they're against spam (check out the post on this board from CutWithManyScars) yet they could be considered spammers as well, as practically EVERY thread I've been on has a post by a member of the coaltion. And also, on practically every post by a member of the coaltion, they have they're mission statement or whatever at the end of the post, kinda like a siggy that you can have on other boards.

quote:
*This post has proudly been deemed racism free by the so-called Coalition of Bushsupporter, Marine16, notsojoey, FreeMarketLover, Redrepublican and Andrewcon in their endless pursuit to cast out the bigotry that has infiltrated YouthNOISE.*

So if I have to read that about fifty times, I consider that spam.

Also, several, SEVERAL people have complained about the coalition and its members---obviously they are not doing much good at all by forming their group. Though I am not aware if there has been racist posts in the past, I am aware that I have not noticed a single racist post yet. Also, choosing to hate a certain race is a choice and a opinion. While I do not condone disrespecting someone for their race, I do not think it is anyone's place on this board to form a group solely for the purpose of ridding racism on YN, especially when I see no evidence of this racism. It seems to me, that they are almost promoting the act of racism by forming such a group. By excluding people and posting hate posts against people that they believe to be "racist" they are causing problems. I think, by them deeming so many people racists (all of whom, are clearly not), they are quickly becoming a hate group themselves. This is not good for the well-being of YN and I do not appreciate their presence on this web-site.

So, YN, I am not suggesting to delete the accounts of all members of the coaltion. But I do ask that they be told that they can no longer call themselves the honorable coaltion and also that they cannot form a group by any other name. I also asked that the statement that the members consistently put at the end of their posts be deleted, as I do not wish to see it fifty different times and I think it is highly unnessecary. I am not only singling out the coalition---if any other such groups arise that are unnessecary and problematic, I ask that they be told the same as well. But as of now, the coalition is the only one I see any problem with (actually, it's the only group with a name and a consistent mission statement and rules to get in that I see). I'm hoping that many others will read this post and agree with it. I have a feeling that the only ones who will disagree will be members who are or have once been or are intending to be members of the coalition. I may be wrong, but that's what I see happening. I ask you to please take this into consideration. Thank you for your time.

I was here for awhile under a different name. Then I left. Now I'm back under a different name than before (because I forgot my old one). So, apparently, I missed your posts. And I've never had conflict with tallywhack. I've had conflict with Paintbucket but I'm perfectly fine with just debating, in a civil way. The only reason why I wanted to ban the coalition is because it's a whole group of people being dumb. Not just an individuals. Individuals being stupid is fine because we're all human and we're all stupid at times. But a whole group is a little much. Sorry for not bashing you, I guess......

That's great. Thanks for sharing.

what's wrong with a coalition that wants things racism free?

There's nothing wrong with being racism free, of course, but it's the fact that they say they are against bigotry, when in fact, they are bigots, that irritates most of us.

The reason why it's bad, is because the coalition isn't doing any good. It's not doing ANYTHING against racism. The people state they're against racism, accuse people who aren't really racist, and that's it. They don't do anything at all to stop what little racism there is.

But I would SO join the llama club....that is cool. (I was kidding to any of you who decide to call me a hypocrite.)

i dont see what is so bad about that little label at the end of their posts. what's wrong with a coalition that wants things racism free? and i mean, its just a little tag on its not like a HUGE add that makes your window expand- really, i dont think its annoying...*says in small voice*

i have seen racist comments on this site. not too many though. i just think that its cool that people are against racism and racist remarks...people are making it sound like its bad to be in the coalition. i wouldn't mind being in it- it sounds like a very nice happy thing...maybe ill start a pineapple or llama club and we could all put little miniature llamas or pineapples in the bottom of our posts! three cheers for the llama club!!!

I don't even understand what this "coalition" thing is! From what I have read though (from them and from others) it sounds really pointless and stupid since there are still many racist comments here.

I am glad you have "dis-joined" the coalition (though I don't much care for your reasons why as I am pro-choice as well).

However, your negative comments do not go unnoticed, nor are they appreciated. Xia said nothing derogatory to you so you had no reason to say anything about her. You started an unnessecary argument and I dislike it very much when someone does so. That's part of the reason I'm trying to get rid of the coalition. Please stop spreading this negativity---and get back to me on the abortion board.

I try. ^__~ But I suggest to just stop wasting your time getting those morons to listen to you. As you can see, your message has not gotten through to them. They only listen to their own kind, and sadly, none of their kind are too bright nor too tolerable of others. I applaud you on your effort though.

Thanks for "applauding me for my effort." I'll continue to try and I've even gotten into a few civil discussions with a couple of members. I know that it has not gotten through but it has to sometime. They can't ignore all of this evidence against them forever and I just want all of this negativity to go away.

"Christian," "Biblical," etc. in the titles, then we could have a real debate.

The only board I have ever posted Biblical statements on was the Catholicism board, and if I remember correctly, you never posted on that board. Not once have I ever used my christian beliefs or the bible to help support my pro-life stance.
