Mods, supervisors, founders, presidents of YN, Here is my question. Answer me this: Why did you in reality start this site? And no, you cannot say ,"To get teens to talk about real life issues." That's an expected answer. Thank you, Bella

Now that is why I come here. The staff has always shown determination and always looks into our requests. I just want to thank you all for the opportunities you are giving us all. You are all amazing people. Keep up the good work. Thanks again!

Hi Benje, You are right, things have been really busy lately! As far as YN store goes, it is still in the works but there are some production details that need to be worked out before going forward with it. As far as volunteer opportunities with YN, right now we are trying to get details worked out for enlisting YN moderators for the boards so stay tuned for details which should be coming in next few weeks (as with YN store, just a few details that need to be addressed). I feel sure that when other projects come to light that the team is working on we will also be enlisting help for those as well. For YAB program, I don't believe there was a limit set for how many terms one could serve. I will try to find out. We do appreciate your patience about all of these things. I know it's taking awhile, but while we are a small team, we are a determined team and we plan to make all of this and more a reality!!

I don't think there's a limit on terms. None that I've heard atleast, and you think I would have. I assume this is the YAB you're talking about. You'll be able to contact YAB members through NOISEmail, there will be an announcement about who is on it soon. I know from other threads that you guys at YN are working hard on many projects with such a small amount of people working there. I want to thank the YN staff for their hardwork and devotion. The ad idea is great and the site seems like it is growing everyday. With the new Youth board being announced soon, Noisemaker representation will be a great addition. I do, however, have some concerns.
- Where is the YN store? I understand it is a big thing to create but it has been over two months without an update (if there was something written, please tell me).
- The volunteer zip code link is great. I have one question: Are there any volunteer opertunities with YN? I would be happy to help the cause.
- The youth board: 2 questions that I still have: Can you be a representive for more than 2 "terms" and how will we be able to contact them? will there be a special board or emails?
Thanks once again, Ben

Ohio, I hope I can speak for the team when I say that we hope what we're doing here has a positive impact on people. Like Ginger said, we want you to be actively involved in what is happening in this world and to be heard. YN has quite a few projects lined up like the YN store which is in the works. (This will be actual YN merchandise...the Alloy ad just included our banner and isn't actually a YN shirt) Stay tuned for details concerning other projects that we are coming soon.

YN was created to give high school students a way to get involved in the world using the Internet. And the Boards seemed a good way to let teens get excited by each other rather than by adults who don't always know what makes sense to teens. We knew there were plenty of teens who cared about stuff but had no way to show that. And we also thought teens probably wanted to have a place to talk about the causes and issues they might be passionate about. Then, we also wanted to create a place that teens could use to become actively involved in what is happening to this world. And we knew teen opinions were important and not being heard by the public in any real way. So, if plenty of teens got involved in YN, then their voices would start to be heard. Hope this helps add to the on site information YNLissa pointed you to. Ginger, YN Executive Director

I was wondering if you guys thought that YouthNOISE had a positive or a negative impact? What are your intentions for YouthNOISE in the future?

I wasn't around when YOUTH NOISE was born but I did start when it went live...This is why I sent the link. The words put on that page were was what was in the hearts and minds of those who brought this site to life.
