I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but there have been exponentially fewer posts in the past several years than normal. I chalked it up to the start of a new school term, but when I looked at the number of posts for the same given week last year, there were about 5x as many. YN, at least the YN we know and love, is dying. Of course the major question is why? However, the more important question, is what are we going to do about it? Any thoughts on the matter?

Well. If you advertise truthfully, then they should already be here because of what yn offers, right?

Advertising is all well and good, but once you get members here, you need incentive to keep them.

YN used to advertise. I'm here because of a TV commercial. Magazines also make for good advertising...especially if the ads are done right.

Advertising is a good idea. Why doesn't yn do that?

I think running a business and an engagement are also huge consumers of my time.

Well Meg, that means you're a yn junkie. Not all of us have that level of accomplishment.

I'm pre-law; I've got 18 credits this semester, plus babysitting and my new job, USCG Auxiliary meetings and boating safety classes and dance. If I can find the time to be here...(and mod!)

I know. I've posted in some threads recently... they're moving SO DAMN SLOWLY. It's sad. Really. I tried contacting YN to send an article to them too, but my PC decided to screw up my email account recently (god knows why), so yeah. I personally CAN'T be here often now because getting a bachelor's in chemistry in a top university is damn difficult.
