1) A concise rundown of the candidates' positions, preferably in a table of some sort for the sake of easy comparison. Since that presentation leeches the positions of whatever subtle nuances they may have, it'd also be nice to see each brief position statement link to more detailed sources like voting records, press releases, credible articles, etc.
Also, explanations of each major campaign issue and their signifigance with regards to both the candidates themselves and the nation as a whole would be useful for getting a better sense of the big picture. X thinks illegal immigration sucks, Y thinks it's pretty cool, here's why, here are immigration's real-world implications, etc. Takes the issues out of the abstract realm of political discourse and makes them relatable.
2) In the 2004 election, the Libertarians were on the ballot in 49 states, the Greens in 28 states, the Constitution party was in 35 states, and Nader/the Reform party was on the ballot in 35 states, whereas the Socialist Worker party and the Socialist party were on 14 and 8 ballots respectively. Judging from that, it seems like any party that was on the ballot in a majority of the states should be included.
