When I tried to edit my post in the Post Anything Here thread, I got this message: quote: You have not been given the permission(s) to access this page. You require the following rights to view this page: 'Edit/Delete Own Posts'. For a full list of permissions you have on this community, please visit your MySpace Permissions page.
Are we not allowed to edit our own posts anymore??

This has happened to me also but what I have found (most times) is that I keep way too many windows open and sometimes the edit panel becomes lost in the shuffle and I have to minimize some windows to find it. This may or may not be what's happening with you so if you keep having trouble, please send an email to support@youthnoisemail.com and let us know. PS Everyone gets 8 minutes after posting to edit their posts. The only persons who have 'permissions' after this time would be YN staff.

I've had the same problem. A lot of times I can't even edit my posts directly after I write them. It gives me the same message as Cryzme posted. I went to the My Space page and the Edit/Delete My Own Posts thing wasn't checked, which I take to mean that I don't have that permission. But I have been able to edit some posts, but not others. Help me! Bushism of the day: "Had we to do it over again, we would look at the consequences of catastrophic success, being so successful so fast that an enemy that should have surrendered or been done in escaped and lived to fight another day." —George W. Bush, telling Time magazine that he underestimated the Iraqi resistance “I just don't know why they're shooting at us. All we want to do is bring them democracy and white bread. Transplant the American dream. Freedom. Achievement. Hyperacidity. Affluence. Flatulence. Technology. Tension. The inalienable right to an early coronary sitting at your desk while plotting to stab your boss in the back.” ~Hawkeye, M*A*S*H, "O.R."

Shannon, I apologize for my error in my response to crzyme19's post. You only have 8 minutes to edit a post after it's been posted. Let me know if you think that could have been the problem.

Actually the edit time has always been set at 10 minutes. When new boards went live there was a glitch that allowed NMers to edit at any time but it has been fixed.

I've been getting that problem, too. I've found that I can edit posts for about 10 minutes after I create them, and after that, they lock up. Is this a new YN policy or something?
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

Well, it seems to be I can edit some, and not others. I can't edit the one in Just Post Anything Here that mentions parallel parking, and I can't edit this topic....don't know if that's relevant or not.
