Why is s.l.u.t. considered a bad word on these boards? If a person decides to dress or act like one, then they should be called one.

I don't think just because a girl dresses a certain way they should be called a s.l.u.t
Besides a s.l.u.t is someone who sleep around, and just because someone dresses some way doesn't mean that they sleep around. And beside why is it that girls get the names, when it's most guys who would give their left ear to get some?

This is for Amaris, if you prefer to dress in short shorts and a halter top then so be it. Its your decision. If you have a body and your proud of it, than whats the big deal in showing it off once in a while?? who agrees????

I'm with Amaris. I don't wear revealing clothing because I'm too self-conscious, but we girls don't violate cute guys even when they wear tight jeans or speedos. Christ almighty...

But then again when is something considered ****ty? I mean, when do shorts get too short? tops too revealing? We don't have rigid standards for that- it's more on someone's personal point of view. Personally, I think certain clothing has it's place- that's it. Short shorts aren't for school, they are for a hot day at the beach. Nothing is ****ty unless it defeats the purpose of clothing- which is to cover up. Like a dress that exposes one boob or a bikini thong.

I assume you're talking about me being pierced, therefore looking punk. Well, I think it looks good. It has nothing to do with the music I listen to, the way I dress, or who I am. It is something that my mother allowed me to do, therefore I did it. I'm not trying to look punk by having my labret pierced, it's just an unfortunate side effect of having it.
And I have no idea why girls dress s.lutty if they aren't. But maybe they just want attention for that one day that you see them or something. I don't know, I don't dress s.lutty, so I can't really answer that for you. I wear pants in summer, so I'm probably the worst person in the world to fathom why girls dress s.lutty if they aren't.
