Okay, here's the deal. What if YN had greeters? Such as people who would automatically reveive a notification of new members, they would then send them a Welcome to YN type message and so forth? This would be a group of say, 7 people. Places such as Myspace and AllPoetry have done this, so why not YN? Feedback, NOW.

Yeah, I was basically just consolidating that idea with the original idea of YN greeters...

Meagan, you are always FULL of great ideas. I think you should join the youth advisory board or something!!

If I wasn't embittered and prone to random abdication, I'd gladly get involved.

You do mean their YN names, right? I think that's the most important piece of information... What if we had a group for this process, with one NOISEmail sent to the person notifying them of who are the official greeters, what they are like and so on. At school, a paper with all RAs and their traits is passed out on the first day, in a way to make it easier to find someone who you can relate to.
That sounds awesome to me. I think it'd work out very well. But the question is, would the newbs actually come to us for help or would we have to make the first move?

Also, is noisemail up and running again? I had heard statements that it wasn't working, and that will be an integral part of the whole greeting process.

I think we need to choose say 5 people, then when we find out if we need more or not, we come up with an application for those who wish to apply.
