It's only April, yet YN's election coverage is already getting on my nerves. According to the home page "'McCain to me has no brains,' blogs Samantha. 48% of 18-25 year olds now lean towards the Democratic Party. Are you one of them?" I understand that you are using the quote from an election blogger, not necessarily affiliated with YN...but in order for that argument to be valid, a quote from an election blogger reading "Let's all go nuke Iran" would also have to be considered. Also, what on earth is the point of pointing out that 48% of young people lean towards the Democratic party and asking if the reader is one of them? It might be different if there were more staggering statistics, but this is just pathetic in my opinion. If YN really wants to be proud of its election coverage, it needs to include intelligent quotes from their election bloggers (which I'm sure are out there...I would be more than happy to find some if you'd like) in addition to statistics that actually mean something...not that promote one side over another. (In keeping with YN's mission as a non-partisan organization.) "Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has." --Margaret Mead **Vice President of the ITGHMC** http://tinyurl.com/393qnr

Thanks for the feedback. The content mentioned above has been updated with a new feature. quote: I would be more than happy to find some if you'd like) in addition to statistics that actually mean something...
I would encourage anyone to feel free to submit any content on the site that is felt like it should be featured in some way, including quotations, videos, suggestions for J1C, noiseboards, etc. to submissions@youthnoise.com
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

quote: 48% of 18-25 year olds now lean towards the Democratic Party
So, if I had no background in Poli Sci and Sociology, I could easily say that 52% of 18-25 year olds lean towards the Republican Party? Cool. Seriously, though. I'm with Meg. And if you have stats, could you make them easier to find? I'd like to actually know how many are Democrat, Libertarian, Republican, Green, Independent, etc. If you quote one part of the stats, make the others easier to find. Though I do commend you on having a wide variety of correspondents, I hope to see a wide variety on the home page and not just one slanted side. While waiting for the promised "best four years of [my] life" (Various People), I found YouthNoise. http://tinyurl.com/2kbx5p
