Question:
I was thinking about all the Award threads where YNers honor other YNers, but I noticed that none ever came from the Mods or anything. So I was thinking what about making a YNer of the month award that honors those that displayed a great debate while still be respcectable and etc.

What do you all think?

If you care, show it.... dont hide it under false pretensions... like using cuss words, or that some people think suicide is fun.... That is not caring. If you care at all, you'd be behind me or beside me, telling people and others to say No to temptations, say no to drugs, say no to cussing and say no to abortions or suicide. THAT is caring. We all need to come to an agreement and no one needs to break the agreement. We are all mature people for the most part now lets act like it and come to an agreement.

I'm not taking sides because I try to get along with everyone but If I see something that I don't agree with I'm probably going to say something. So to Jamaica I would like to say that just because not everyone thinks the same as you doesn't mean that they are all evil people. They just don't have the same connections and feelings as you do. Let's not judge. You have every right to say how you feel on issues but let people live their lifes their own way. What is right for you is not always right for others. We are all different people with different backgrounds. If we were all the same it would be a really boring world. I cuss at times by mistake, I apologize to the Lord and I ask for forgiveness. Its something that happens Jamaica, and I hope that i will not go to hell for a word that I used, because there many other things that I try to do that is for the good. Not everyone is going to see things in the same light as you, the sooner you realize that the better it will be. People are suppose to be able to do things that they feel is right for them and as long as it isn't doing harm to anyone else then let them do it, you may not agree but it is their life and they will be the ones dealing with it all, not you.

To everyone else, Jamaica is just considered for you all, I don't think that she truly means any disrespect but she wants you all to live a nice healthy happy life. She wants you to see the damage that you may be causing to yourself, maybe you don't experience it now but that doesn't mean that you won't later. I think that she also wants you all to see the beauty and greatness that she sees in feels. She lives a life that is perfect for her, and she wants you all to have the same experience. I don't think that she says the things she does to be rude but to try to help you realize that there is a bigger and better world out there and that you don't need to turn to drugs and alcohol for relief if you just see things in a different light for once. Try to find the good in things and focus on that.

I know that you all probably think that I'm really stupid and corny right now, but I don't care! I want this arguing to come to an end and for everyone to reach some sort of agreement. I apolgize if I have offended anyone.

Takes 2 to tango. One party, whether it be her or us, needs to lay off. In a perfect world, we would both shut up on the insults, but even our attempt to compromise (2 times) was broken by her.

See, we can both spit our opinions, point is not to refer it to a personal case, nor clearly make it an insultive shot at someone.

I have one friend (and one internet-wife, to whom I owe a lot of thanks for putting up with me for all the while she's known me. Love ya, Sun). And I'm very thankful for him. Jamaica, this isn't pertaining to anything, but sometimes we yell and get angry and frustrated, not because we care, but because we sort of see what you don't. Didn't Christ say to look at yourself before you judge others? You're always blaming us of hypocracy... Sometimes I wonder who really is the hypocrite.

Jamaica, they are not BAD PEOPLE. They are bad IN YOUR OPINION. Not everyone has the same definition of that. For example, I think "curse words" don't have anything to do with a person's moral values. Sure, if a person goes around calling everyone a ****ing this or a ****ing that, then they're mean (and boring, as overusing words like that gets VERY old VERY fast), but if a person uses "curse words" in a way that doesn't insult anyone, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Words can hurt people when directed at them in a derogatory way, but just hearing a single "****" shouldn't offend you so much that you think a given person is horrible and going to hell. I never understood what's so bad about "curse words" and I STILL want an explanation of why they are so evil.

I dont disagree with EVERY person. And oh, by the way, i have many friends. Well, not here in Yn, but in real life and also in other websites. I have A LOT of friends. and i will tell you something, MOST of the YNERS are not good. If they are, they shouldnt promote suicide, nor think drugs are so delicious, we should try it, nor think that babies are so unimportant, it is a crime if we dont kill them. If Yners here are so good and so polite, they shouldnt use cuss words too often. Perhaps you have a problem here. Perhaps all of the Yners who are good are gone because the bad Yners scared them.
