Ok, I just looked my blog today, to find that a new member by the name of cbrandy had flamed me, for no reason whatsoever.

You are so weird.Who freaken gives a rats but about YOUR life!!!Their is a lot more tome then listening to your stuiped life!!It apparently sounds like you hate your life!!I certainly don't car.Plus your probably starring at this computer dagree less on what your deppressing life is tomorrow!!!VERY INTERESTING,TO ME AT LEAST!!!LOL

If she were more literate I would probably retaliate. But I can barely read it. All I can tell, due to her usage of the phrase "your stupid life", is that she's being a douche. Is there any way someone came delete that?

And I really think it's time this site got a little tougher on the newbs. Just my opinion...

A transition page would be annoying though.

Could we perhaps make a thread and "feature" it on all of the forums? (After the hacker came and I found out that it existed, I kind of want to see it actually be used to serve a good purpose.)

In another forum I'm a member of, they have a transitioning page between the main site and the forums. It has the forum rules listed there, and at the bottom of the page, a link to the boards. There would be no excuse if there was a transition page.

IDK mine are constantly getting deleted and i can't find ANY rules that will tell what gets your post deleted.

From another thread.

If newbies can't find the Rules of Play, then can we get angry at them for not following them? (We will anyways)

Basically, YN, along with your ever-growing list, make the rulse more visible. It would help a lot of people out.

i can understand how pissing og such comments are but i think a quiz is a bad idea..
i dont know how this sounds but maybe there could be an option of making the comments public or private or approving what you want to be seen yourself rather than making someone take a quiz for something you do online..thats the last thing i would do...

I think some of the most recent offensive comments were deleted from my profile blog. If so, thank you YN team. Smile

Ridiculous. This blog thing should never have been created in the first place if a back up step was not inserted to undo offensive comments. YN needs to think things through before they make flashy aspects of the site.

I do have a question: If she doesn't care, then why is she reading YOUR blog and commenting on it?

Because she obviously has nothing else to do with her time.

Some people really need a hobby around here. :P

At least now we can see who wrote the comments...

Something that could help is putting the rules of play in a more prominent area. The only place I ever see them is in the feedback board.

And maybe have a shut off thing on blog comments, where you can choose whether or not to allow comments, and have the ability to delete them?

Cbrandy wrote on mine too, I mean its not nearly as bad as EG's but if I gave a damn what she said or her opinion, there is all possiblity that I would probably want to kill her.

Ugh, I'm sorry that happened, EG. Some newbies really don't have a clue how to get around the boards or the website. I suspect most of them have not read the Rules of Play. You know, a quiz isn't really a bad idea.

I hope they take that comment down from your blog soon. Frown

I proposed that awhile ago...and would continue to support it.

I also still support the idea of getting rid of the comment feature on blogs.

How do you propose that?

I think they should take a Rules of Play quiz before they can post on the boards. That way, they would be forced to read them.

How do you propose that?

I must say, I do like how the target age on this site is apparently 16-24...
