That's stupid. I understand why you have to block out **** and ****, but a.s.s is a word that is not just a cuss word, and neither is d.i.c.k. It's crazy that when someone is talking about Cheney, his name is edited.

I personally think that you are taking this editing cuss words thing way too far. I would like to talk about my cat on this board without having to put periods in the middle of her name.

I guess they just want to protect those who are easily offended. Also because this site is mostly visited by kids who are underage, so they are trying to make it appropriate for them so that parents are not concerned. I don't know, I think those are some of the reasons why they edit words.

idk why they bother editing either, i mean most of us go to public school and hear this crap everyday so its not like we dont know wut people are saying. Besides it makes converstaions confusing....

i dont understand why it is edited at all. its a personal choice to use those words. and anyone offended by one should take that up with the person using it themselves... does that make sense at all... i am so outta it, as usual. and ppl shouldn't complain just for the sake of complaining, dont say something OFFENDS you when it really doesn't.
