Steve Erwin aka The Crocidile Hunter was speared through the heart by a sting ray barb of the coast of australia while filming another of his famous animal planet specials. For a man who toyed with poisonus snakes and crocs on a reguler basis to die from one of the more docile creatures in the ocean is universal irony at it's best. Rest in peace steve.

On Monday, I was watching his show in science class. I winced every time he mentioned poison or death...which was rather often. It was very creepy. ^_^

I've been trying not to act that way, but I've changed my mind.

EG, if I wanted to understand you, I'd hire a psychologist and have him stalk you. You can't blame me for getting the idea you hate the world if you constantly act that way. I'm sorry you've been having a horrible time of it, but you're the one responsible for how you act. Mine was just a flip comment; treat it that way.

Only 3 people in the last 100 years have been killed by stingrays. At leat he didn't die a typical death...
It must be lovely to wake up in the morning and understand everything.

Clpo, if my name is in any of your sentences. Just delete it before posting. I'm not going to write an autobiography so you can understand me. The last 3 weeks of my life have been terrible, today being the worst, and I'm not afraid to get banned.

This is an honest qn now not a joke, but what idiot company is going to pay his life insurance?
You might as well ask why police or firefighters are so selfish as to put their lives on the line. Where public servants such as them have people, Steve Irwin had animals. It was his job. You can't blame him for doing it. It's a small wonder why EG is such a misanthrope...

Don't be surprised by the way he died. That's fine. But do not belittle and disrespect him. That's low. He didn't just hunt crocodiles. He helped protect Austrailian wildlife. He'd go out and capture animals for scientists to study, so that they can collect information for help in conservation. He didn't believe in using tranquilizers and heavy equipment to catch them, because he cared about their well being and didn't want to risk their injury or death. To the uneducated eye, he appeared stupid and crazy, when in reality he was just doing what was best for wildlife. He was like Jane Goodall. Although, I think people care less about him, because he focused on "ugly", dangerous and unsavory creatures that most people feared. While Jane Goodall helps cute little chimps. His work was very important, to the animals and to the public.

He lived a great life, and went to his passion. I would be lucky to have half of such a life. He died with honor. He died admist the thing that he loved, and I would once again, to be lucky to have such a death. He will be missed. He gave a damn about animals, he gave a damn about the enviroment, and most importantly, he tried to harm no one in the process. Some say Good and Evil are just relative terms. Even if they are, I'd still say he was a good man. May whatever God exists, let him rest in peace.

It really shocked me that he died. I mean, who else is going to say 'Crikey' for our amusement now? But, seriously, it is really sad...
Please save this for me. I'll come back for you, love, I promise to.--Ludo

I've actually cried because of this. Not because he died, it's because of the jerks that feel the need to laugh at him. Why do it? To be cool? To look manly? I don't get it. I don't care if it was ironic or bizarre, or if you thought he had it coming. He was still a human being, with a wife and children. I see no humor in this at all. I'm sure Terry would enjoy these jokes of his death. I feel deeply for her, because she's lost the man she loved and now there are evil people out there laughing about it. You should be ashamed of yourself, Hydrok. Because I'm sure if your best friend or girlfriend died in a freak accident, you wouldn't like it so much if I made fun of them. It just pisses me off so much, because I know the same people making these heartless comments about him would certainly expect everyone to give a damn if someone special in their lives passed on. I hope his son and daughter never see or hear any of this. People are so sick.

A radio station that I used to listen to joked about how and why he died. He was a great man and did many thing to allow the people of this world to know animals. He taught us to not be scaird of them... but respect them. The radio station is part of a protest my friends and I are holding. You do not talk about the dead like that expecialy a man that did so much. If you want to be part of our protest you may call the radio station using the number 1-607-732-9465... or you may talk to me using my email address ( ber1384@yahoo.com ) or messege me on here or my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/amberberber Want more details about what was said or why it is being protested then get a hold of me.

The dead cant defend themselves and it is weird cause he was like invincible and he went out doing stuff no one else had the balls to do for years and then that happened it must have been his time.
The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.
