There was a new law passed in Paris a couple of weeks ago say that employees were allowed to fire young people without a cause. The passing of the law resulted in a enormous protest that turned into a riot. People were sprayed with tear gas and water hoses. The protest lasted all day long. Personally I believe that it shouldn't have had to come to this. I also believe that the law shouldn't have been passed. It could deny young people of the oppurtunity to hold a minimum wage job. What do you all think?

The law states young persons can be dismissed without reason for 2 years of employment. The French government claims it would encourage employment of youngsters amongst employers and create a flexible work force. The rioters are just doing what the french do best...whining, complaining and revolting.
