Becaues they're either off topic or cheap shots. And they aren't even good jokes.

Admitting it was funny is having a sense of humor. I still can't get over that dear old Bush fell off a Segway. That's practically impossible to do.

I wasn't referring to the constitution but rather the opinions of the people I talked to over there. Including several professors and graduate students.

That, and the French situation are the basis of my point, you mock America for the same problems that Britian and Europe have. It's the pot calling the kettle black.

Funny I heard similar complaints from your countrymen when I was over in Europe. And what was one of the major driving forces about the rejection of the EU constitution again?

by my countrymen i assume you mean brits, the UK hasn't rejected the EU constitution....and the main arguments against ratifying it is that we do not wish to lose sovereignty to Brussels, not that we complain foreigners take our jobs. Although I believe that is what the french right wing has brainwashed the French into thinking is happening in their country.

Do you need a babysitter or are you going to stop acting like a child on your own accord?

Personally, I don't blame Bush for not meeting with her. If he meets with Sheehan, he is going to have to meet with every other grieving parent. I must say, however, that Sheehan has helped the Democrats.

No, you're right. The Sunni's and Saddam's forces would have only kept slaughtering Iraqis. They only kill thier own people, that's none of our buisness.

It's not only Bush's war, it's MY war too, and the millions of other Americans, Europeans, etc that supported the war. It's not his brainchild, it wasn't only his idea. It was the product of a signifigant portion of our population that supported the invasion for many reasons, including the ones I listed before.

It's not about the threat of terrorism at home. So don't even mention it.

This war isn't the grieving mothers war, it isn't millions of Americans war, it's Bush's war, and the threat most average Americans face at the hands of terrorism is tiny compared to many other threats in life, disease, accidents etc...so to justify the slaughter of these peoples children on the war on terror is unlikely to hold much sway...your not even killing international terrorists in Iraq, your killing nationalists and people who want only for you to leave Iraq, if you hadnt invaded iraq, the insurgency you face now, the majority of it, would never pose a threat to the US.

Where was it at? I saw some crazies on nicolet mall. I kind of feel like "move on" and some of these other groups are using her for political propoganda. I respect the decision of a grieving mother to search for a cause and blame something irrationally if it is what she needs to do to cope with the death of a child(the saddest thing a human can experience) than I empathize with her. But the people who are using her state of grief for political ammunition are dispicable and should be ashaed of themselves.

There was a Sheehan solidarity protest in West Saint Paul yesterday. Me and 11 other Protest Warriors counter protested it. I wrote about it in 'Share your Stories', but its got pictures, and the mods are taking their sweet time approving, though I used no "trigger words".

It's best not to wander around the boards and try and nail people on definitions, grammar, and semantics. It's pretty pointless and just derails threads.
