Has anyone heard the news n australia? They are planning to shot down thousands of kangaroos! Considering they are the only continent to have them, they could send them the wildlife preserves all over the world... Isn't there something extremely backward and wrong about this? You can read here for more infoWhat do you guys think?

thats because this govt. wont pay for their relocation. culling our national animal, to "maintain cattle grazing lands" .. think about it, kiling kangaroos so cows can prosper, which get probably killed anyway for steak and so on.

I also like how by living, they risk killing endangered species. Yet another environmental conundrum. P.s. Thanks for the link, clpo. I refuse to look if they don't provide one.

Hurray for Google News. Here's a source, Ikki. Seems to me that they haven't even decided if they're doing this or not. Ironically, even more kangaroos die every year in the bush, having been shot by ranchers and farmers.

mmmm kangaroo steaks any one? seriously they're essentially giant rodents in australia though you'd think the aussies would be busy enough with the small ones...
