quote: how can you label a whole nation as evil? try looking into the eyes of its people and call them evil...they merely represent a different perspective on world affairs.
When saying that Iran is a bad nation and has horrible foriegn and domestic policy, I am not referring to the people, I am referring to the government and leaders of the nation. So is anyone else who says anything about a country as a whole. Syria supports terrorists like hezbollah, hamas, and countless other groups through funding, weapon supplies, and harbor. Iran supports those same groups with weapons and weapons training and also harbor. North Korea is developing nuclear weapons to threaten the region and hold free nations across the world hostage. I disagree with the policy of taking out one leader to replace them with another of our choosing. That has lead to a lot of problem, but hindsight is always 20/20. Isreal did not and does not commit war crimes. That article does not address anything about the most recent conflict in Lebanon. Isreali children cannot even get on a abus to go to school without the fear of being blown to pieces. I guess this is ok with you. I do look at our country before I label others and I find that ours is fine and Syria's is not.

how can you label a whole nation as evil? try looking into the eyes of its people and call them evil...they merely represent a different perspective on world affairs. The 'axis of evil' are so called sponsors of terrorism. Syria - support hezbollah and hamas, as well as the PLO, do not support large scale international terrorism such as that purportrated by al-qaeda. iran - again suporter of palestine liberation organisations, no link to any group they regard as terrorist. north korea - concerned with their own survival and policy regarding south kora. i'd like to direct you to this link: http://experts.about.com/e/l/li/List_of_U.S._foreign_in...tions_since_1945.htmthe list is damning of countless acts of installing military dictators throughout south america and africa, supporting and carrying out state terrorism. Lets also not forget americas support of israeli war crimes, especially in the recet lebenon conflict, of which various international groups have provided statitics highlighting such crimes: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4580139.stmso when you decide to label a country as evil, take a look at your own and then ask yourself is everybody here evil? no, no country is evil, but they do have corrupt and vile regimes, the worst of which sit in washington.

The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.

"Boo hoo, Syria, Iran, and North Korea are good nations and bush offended them. I am so sad and I cry every day." That is what you should have said. He didn't say anything like that about Venezuela.

quote: I think Hugo Chanez can burn in hell, in fact I hope he does.
so when chavez labels the US as evil the guy should burn in hell? but when Bush names 3 nations and calls them an 'axis of evil' that is ok? Chavex merely represents an opposing view of the US as lord protector of democracy, and uses the same underhand, immature and pathetic name calling when trying to undermine political opponents as Bush does.

Why not? the rest of us (at least, the smart ones) have been saying it for years...
Ok, so it wasn't the smartest move to make. But I personally am just fine with it.
