The origional video has very clearly the cop saying get up, get up, and the airman said "I'm getting up now, ok?" the cop replied "ok" and as he got up the cop shot him 3 times in the back.
The cop felt threatened for some unknown reason, but let me provide a little background on how California cops and citizens view the military.
At the DLI in California, airmen and soldiers are not allowed to be off base in uniform because the public opinion in the area puts them at risk to be victim of a crime. What kills me about this is that while administrative leave is usual after a shooting of any kind involving an officer, in this case there is clear evidence that a crime may have occured even by the fudged up video tape.
The police organization is being irresponsible by not arresting the officer and trying to get it to blow over...
Well here's the facts for the cops in San Bernadino county, it's not going to blow over like you want it to, the airforce will demand justice, and we will get it. Do not expect our duty to protect and serve to save you from prosecution, by disregarding a legitimate call for arrest of this officer you are simply making more people liable in the end. It is no longer just the officer that shot my brother in arms that is liable, but the chief and all other government officials that have yet to take action. You will be charged with obstruction of Justice, and you will be tried and found guilty. The Airman has mountains of lawyers at his disposal, do not expect to win.
I hope the entire cast of morons in this incident goes to hell for this.
See how much they care about our troops?
