Did anyone watch the soccer game yesterday...or technically 2 days ago b/c I should really go to bed. Anyway, the game with Italy vs. France? I ended up watching the whole thing with my friend, (both of us not soccer fans at all) but it was pretty entertaining. If anyone else saw it or heard about it, what do you think about the France player, Zindane, headbutting the Italy player? That is one of the craziest things I have ever seen in a game. He was apparently supposed to retire after the Cup, and he lost his cool and ended his career on a such a bad note. He got kicked out and wasn't even allowed to take part in the award ceremony. The worst part was that he was their captain and leader, and one of their best players, AND the game was in overtime! But on the other hand, I still don't think anyone knows what the guy said. I mean, they keep hiring lip readers to figure it out and they all come up with something different.

According to a story linked off of the main page, it was probably a racial or religious slur.
I still think he shouldn't have done it, responding like that just gives the other guy what he wants. Poor Zidane.

regardless his technique on the attack was gorgeus to watch from a martial arts perspective and the italian guys face was hilarious. But yeah it does suck that a player as good as zidane is said to be ends his career on such a highlight

Well the guy he headbutted playes in the same premireship league as he does, I looked at a highlight reel of all the dangerous, and stupid things that itallian guy does, an I woulda knocked him out too.
