Well Michael Jackson was the "King of Pop" and whatever so it's pretty sad that he died but what makes me mad is that no one really cared about him when he was alive after all the bad publicity he had. Personally I'll admit that I loved his song Black and White and the music video for Thriller.

I think my initial response should have been, "If it bothers you that he's all over the TV, turn it off."

Anyway, I feel like I've lost a family member. I still can't believe he's gone. I've been listening to and dancing (poorly) to his music since as long as I can remember. I don't think it's coincidence that within 24 hours after hearing the news of his passing I got sick and developed a stomach ulcer.

He was not only an amazing singer and dancer, but a great humanitarian and philanthropist.

I will miss him dearly, even though I never knew him personally. Some day, I will purchase a black and white fedora and master the Smooth Criminal dance in his honor.

i like that smooth criminal song. and that's about it.

I love his music, at any given time over the last five years I always had at least five MJ songs in my mp3 player/cd player/phone. Actually the day before he died I had added a bunch of his songs to my mp3 player.

I never really liked his music... partially because i don't like pop.

For a split second it didn't register and all of a sudden it just floored me. I put Beat It on on my phone and I was like, "He was The King of Pop and he's just gone."

What really pisses me off are all of the disrespectful, insensitive jokes I keep reading in blogs and getting via text message. The man is dead! Way to kick him while he's down huh?
I mean he had a family and millions of fans, if you can't respect him at least let them grieve in peace.

If you don't care, then there really was no reason to create a thread about it.
