Okay, real simple question, "What is death"?. We face death every day and it seems almost normal. When I watch the news and I see that someone has died I think to myself, "What will happen tomorrow?" Not only do we hear about the deaths of the soldiers in Irag, or the deaths of some famous someone, in some cases it's a school shooting or gang violence. Do you almost expect it to happen or what? When the Virginia Tech shooting happend my school did not say a single thing about it. No one even mentioned it once. It would pretty hard to ignore something like that, it seems pretty taboo to talk about it or something.

who the hell is sure? you really can't be because the only people who know are dead

Death is something that can be understood only when it comes. I agree that ppl do guess abt what death actually is. But ppl have some idea because religion has explained it. But then the question arises: What after death? quote: Originally posted by CuervoQuixotic: Yes people do seem to expect death. This may have to do with the fact that death is: A- inevitable and B- the one thing that every goes through/experiences no matter of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, orientation, etc.
After death, well everyone gueses what happens, but you'll have to wait for death to know it.

"I'm loosing my mind!" That's right. I'm going to set it free and let it run around on its own for awhile...

It's fairly reasonable to expect death to happen, yes. It's just a matter of when and how. That said, both the latter and the former are unknowable save suicide, so dwelling on the matter is pointless.
Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. Frederick Douglass
