in my country, india...we have something called dance bars where girls dance for thier patrons or anyone else for that matter but the men are not allowed to touch these girls..
these bars have been flourishing for so many years now and after the cahnge of govt the new govt wants to crackdown on these and shut them down..
the only other alternative these girls have is prostitution..do u think it is fair that the govt shuts these bars down without giving these girls another alternative employment deal?

just an update for all those who are interested..these girls are indefinetly camping on the grounds of a very famous place in bombay so taht the govt changes its mind...
these girls generate a revenue of around 40 crores for the govt..and all of them come fromr really poor families where earning in this way is the only way out and yes all these girls will surely take to prostituion...

We have strip clubs here, which is pretty much the same thing except they dont serve alcohol. In Las Vegas I believe you they serve alcohol, but if you touch one of the girls you will get the **** kicked out of you by a bouncer.

Ive never been to a strip club, I had a chance though, my gf went with our friends while I stayed at home. Next time I think im gonna go with.

why does the govt want to shut them down? From what you said nothing particually bad is happening in these bars. Ther's not a better alternative for these girls so whats the promblem. the government needs to pull its head out of its a$$

I hat eit when non-secular governments try to legislate their citizens' morality like that! These women may be oerforming erotic dances for men, but th men arent even allowed to touch them! besides, i dont care whether the government offers alternative employment, they should still stay out of it because the new jobs may not pay as much as these women were making before, and also the women might actually enjoy dancing for a living and not want to change professions.

Wow i absolutely love the idea of these bars, because of the fact that these women can dance for money and not have to worry about being forced to have sex w/ the men they dance for. i can see why the government would like to shut them down...being that they're "immoral" or w/e...but from what ur saying they are sooo much better than making these women become prostitutes. Besides even if they're closed, its not going to stop the men from getting that kind of attention or w/e somewhere else.
