Uhm I live in a very backwoods, conservative, everything is illegal on Sunday between the hours of sunrise and noon so that everyone WILL be at church. So there is a good bit of taboo in everything. Which brings about another good point culture influences people a lot (not all the time because look at me compared to my culture O_O!).

There are quite a few guys who wear pink shirts at my school... I haven't noticed any overt stigma associated with traditionally feminine colors.

OMg like every post I have put in here has skipped over the other major topic Averyb mentioned. Gender roles. For example why can't guys wear pink and not be gay? I mean I see it happening a lot more often then it used to but it was taboo! And guys wearing make-up or girls wearing baggy clothes (which isn't really as frowned upon as guys doing girl things). I have found that as far as gender roles go girls have it easier. They are allowed to wear men's clothing and acts like guys without being overly stigmatized. But the second a guy does something considered feminine or girly they are labeled gay. You're right AB it is a problem.

Call me slow if you will but I need to clarify this because I am not sure I get it. You're saying they love eachother above everyone including you and every GLBT person in the world? I am just trying to figure out if it is sarcasm or seriousness.

My parents' wedding anniversary is coming up. They're big anti-gay actovists, believing it's a choice and whatnot. I'm going to say to them, as their anniversary gift, that I was really glad that they chose to love each other and not anyone else.

Yanno, how would you feel if you couldn't marry the person you loved? If your privacy was invaded just because you were gay/lesbian/bi/transgender? You wouldn't feel to great would you? All imj saying is that people should be allowed to marry who they want no matter what sex, race, culture, etc.
there were alot of gay rights protests at the RNC. they got hammered by the pigs. i was with a FNB group and we joined up with one that had been blocked off on a few sides and split in half so the republicans could see a film without being bothered by protesters. we shouted some stuff and then the pigs went nuts and started doing mass arrests when NO ONE WAS DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL. it was pretty insane.

Yes, he is acknowleging that there are female rapists, but he doubts how many there acually are. He's saying that there are not enough to make straight men feel vulnerable to rape from women.
quote: How many female rapists do you think there are compared to male rapists?
From what I'm reading, it seems that Iceland acknowledges that there are indeed female rapists but not nearly as much as there are male rapists. This by far is true.
