Why? It's not enough to just tell me to read a book. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

I have yet to hear them. What are these good, persuasive reasons? "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

the things is that there are very good persuasive reasons for this that have nothing to do with "adam and steve.."

A lady on that new reality tv show said that (the show where they lock the people underground and they have to decide who to give 1.5 million dollars to). it was so pathetic, just like any case where someone actually means that. Agreed entirely. Heteronormativity shapes our society. A great great great book to read is "The power of the normal" by Michael Warner. It's a discussion of the norms surrounding heterosexuality in our society. I think that homophobia is most certainly something that affects us all, and the norms we live in

People who are gay are people just like all of us. They do not have a disablity in not being able to contribute to the economy. There are plenty of straight people that don't contribute to the economy. Besides, it's just a preference. I don't see anyone discriminating against anyone because they prefer blue over green.

Plus, just because it makes you happy doesnt mean it's right- if it makes you happy to kill someone, does that make it right?? NO
By the way, it's not homophobia, it's an opinion and belief from the Bible.

Population control, maybe? And who the hell cares? Plenty of heterosexuals do not reproduce, anyways. quote: homosexuals have never bothered me, as long as they don't act openly gay in a way which may disgust or disturb those of us which have no desire to see a gay person indulging in their lifestyle choice.
Do you mind if you see straight people "indulging in their lifestyle choice"? quote: If we do they are wrong but we are also wrong.
So it's wrong to be gay, huh? Care to elaborate.

Two wrongs dont make a right. Just because somebody is gay doens't mean we have to hate them. If we do they are wrong but we are also wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right.

if anything, gays help population control...we do not need more people to help world economies, we need people who work hard and contribute in a free and equal society. Part of that freedom is freedom to be gay, homosexuals have never bothered me, as long as they don't act openly gay in a way which may disgust or disturb those of us which have no desire to see a gay person indulging in their lifestyle choice.

More gay men = less wedding dresses purchased = economy down the drain.
