Gas in my area did skyrocket...up to $3.299. That only lasted for Labor Day weekend. NOw, if you have the sense to start looking before your tank hits E, you can find gas as low as $2.649. Sunoco has the cheapest gas...BP has the most expensive...

Detroit area, in case you were wondering...

How is it sad? Prices are relative. Would you prefer to pay 3.19 or 3.50? Therefore when you pay 3.19, you would be happy.

Indecision may or may not be my problem

No more than 4.00. I'm not really sure cuz I really hate gas stations. The smell is awful and it probably pollutes the air and workers lungs. Confused

It's really suprising that where I live, (near springfield, il) gas is only at like 2.95 right now, which isn't that great, but compared to 3.20 and such that i've seen, we have it good. Anyone else feel that way?

Prices should be falling fairly steadily at this point, according to the WSJ's estimates. Actually, it showed that the prices started ever-so-slightly falling I believe on Wednesday.

In wisconsin, yesterday, I saw a station selling gas for 2.99, but most of the other stations were about 3.20, I'm not sure if they'll ever be below 3 again, but I think we can probably do it!
