Tim Russert, moderator of NBC's "Meet the Press" and NBC's Washington bureau chief died today at the age of 58. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/14/business/media/13cnd-...?_r=1&hp&oref=sloginI believe he was one of the best newspeople, if not the best, of my generation. A huge loss for journalism. A huge loss for politics. A huge loss for the United States. He was great at what he did, but was also a family man. He asked the tough questions and was respected in general. A sad day for the world. RIP, Tim Russert.

Where were you when you found out Tim Russert died? I was at work. Then my boss asked me if I knew who Tim Russert was...he ruined the gravity of the moment for me. Ironically I work for a magazine albeit a college one but still....journalism is journalism.

I saw that on the news. He said he wanted to die while still being part of the press. And what do you know, he did. He was amazing. RIP. Tim Russert.
