New Orelans is done. It already came and went there. It's Missouri that should be concerned. Tropical Storm KATRINAThat's the path it's taking.

New Orleans is under twenty feet of water, not including the 15 feet it sits below sea level. That's scary. It is almost like Atlantis.

I got caught in the early part of it, when it was only a category 2. I was on what is said to be the second biggest cruise ship in America, and it was rather disturbing to watch the eleventh floor being flooded due to the weather. I can't even imagine how bad it must be now for people living in Louisiana/Flordia/any of the effected areas. That must be terrible.

I can't belive it, or really I don't want to. I have family in Mandeville (across Ponchatrain from NO) and they're in Indiana right now. Their house isn't protected or anything and their college age girls' pets are in boarding houses. What a great first week at college, eh? My aunt was crying and everything, and she never does. I don't know what they're going to do. Its a pity the buses couldn't take the carless/homeless people out of NO, instead of just to the SuperDome. I suppose if there wasn't enough gas for the cars, then there's no way there would've been enough gas for a city's worth of buses. I hope they fare well.
